FL Plumbing Tools is committed to making our calculators and content usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We treat that as our target as we build and improve the site.
What we do
- Use a single, clear page heading and a logical heading structure on each page.
- Label form controls, including the calculator search box, and provide visible keyboard focus indicators.
- Support keyboard navigation for menus, the A–Z filter and interactive controls.
- Aim for sufficient color contrast between text and background.
- Provide text alternatives or hidden labels for icons and decorative graphics.
- Use responsive, mobile-first layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is continuous. Some older tool pages may not yet meet every criterion; we are reviewing and improving them over time.
