Editorial Policy

Our standards for creating, reviewing and correcting Florida plumbing cost content.

This policy explains how content on FL Plumbing Tools is created, reviewed and corrected, and how we handle independence and disclosure. It applies to our calculators, cost guides and informational pages.

How content is created

Our cost guidance is generated with AI assistance and reviewed for accuracy by a human before publishing. Drafting at scale lets us cover 249 distinct Florida plumbing topics; human review is where we check that the numbers, assumptions and code references are reasonable and clearly framed as planning ranges.

Accuracy standards

  • Florida-specific. Cost ranges and code references are framed for Florida conditions and the Florida Building Code (Plumbing).
  • Ranges, not quotes. We present informational ranges and state the assumptions behind them. We do not publish a figure as a fixed price or bid.
  • Sourced from public references. We rely on publicly available cost research, manufacturer specifications and published code/permitting requirements—not invented data.
  • No fabricated credentials or reviews. We do not invent testimonials, certifications, awards or statistics. Where a business detail is not yet established, we show a clearly marked placeholder.

Review process

Before a tool or guide is published, a human editor checks the cost assumptions, sizing logic and any code references for reasonableness and clarity. We periodically re-review published content as Florida pricing and code requirements change.

Corrections

If you spot an error, use our contact page or call (561) 316-7450. We review reported issues, correct confirmed errors promptly, and update the affected tool. Material corrections may be noted on the relevant page.

Independence and affiliate disclosure

FL Plumbing Tools may earn referral or lead-generation revenue when you choose to connect with a plumber through our Get Matched service. That revenue does not change the cost ranges our calculators produce, and our tools do not steer you toward a particular contractor to increase revenue. Where any future commercial relationship could reasonably affect content, we will disclose it. See our Terms of Service for the full lead and affiliate disclosure.

Editorial independence from estimates

Our cost methodology is maintained separately from any commercial arrangement. The goal of every estimate is to be useful and honest to the homeowner—not to support a sale.
