3๏ธโƒฃSubmit rebate application online through your water district or local utility within 90 days of purchase.

Annual Savings Estimator

Check upgrades you plan to make โ€” see estimated annual water savings based on FL average household usage and $4.50/1,000 gal combined water+sewer rate.

Indoor Upgrades
FL Water Rate Reference (2025)
๐Ÿ’งWater: $2.80โ€“$5.20 per 1,000 gal (statewide avg $3.85). Tiered rates in most FL utilities โ€” higher usage = higher rate.
๐ŸšฟSewer/Wastewater: $3.00โ€“$6.50 per 1,000 gal (avg $4.20). Billed based on metered water use in most FL utilities.
๐ŸŒฟOutdoor/Irrigation: Some FL utilities have a separate outdoor meter โ€” no sewer charge on irrigation. Check with your utility.
๐Ÿ“ŠFL avg household: 6,000 gal/month indoors. Irrigation adds 30โ€“50% more in dry season (Novโ€“May).
๐Ÿ’กWater heater savings: HE upgrades also cut electricity/gas โ€” factor in energy savings for total ROI calculation.

FL's 5 Water Management Districts

Each district manages water resources and conservation rebate programs for its geographic region. Many counties also have local utility programs that supplement district rebates.

FL Water Conservation Law (FS 373.227)
๐Ÿ“œAll 5 water management districts are required to adopt and implement water conservation programs under Florida Statute 373.227.
๐ŸŒง๏ธFS 373.62: All new irrigation systems and existing systems that are modified must have automatic rain sensor shutoff devices installed. This is FL law โ€” not optional.
๐ŸกFS 373.185 (FL-Friendly Landscaping): Local governments cannot ban FL-Friendly landscaping practices that save water, even in HOA communities.
โฑ๏ธWater restrictions: During declared shortages, districts impose Day-of-Week irrigation schedules. Odd/even or day-specific rules by address.
๐Ÿ’งYear-round restrictions in most FL districts: No irrigation between 10 AM and 4 PM. Typically 2 days/week max for established landscapes.
